Who is hypnotism for?
Everyday people with everyday problems.
Can hypnosis make you do anything? Can you be controlled during hypnosis?
You cannot be forced to be hypnotized or be forced to do things against your will. You are always in control.
Does it hurt to be hypnotized?
Absolutely not. Do you ever daydream? Let your mind wander? Daydreaming is self hypnosis. The difference between being hypnotized by a hypnotist and daydreaming is that the hypnotist is the guide vs. you guiding yourself (daydreaming). Most people say they feel deeply relaxed and find that soothing for them.
Who can be hypnotized?
Those who are willing to be hypnotized are able to go into hypnosis. Most people can be hypnotized. One has to believe, desire and expect hypnosis to work. Those who can follow directions and/or access their imagination are easily hypnotizable.
Will I remember anything after a hypnosis session?
Generally yes. I like to make the suggestion that you will remember what you feel comfortable remembering when you feel comfortable remembering it. Most clients remember everything immediately following the session.
Who cannot be hypnotized?
One who is unwilling to be hypnotized, someone who has a very low IQ or someone who is under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
How many hypnotism sessions are needed?
This depends upon the reason hypnosis is requested. For general problems, most hypnotists prefer to do three sessions.
Does hypnotism have medical value?
Yes, hypnotism is used before and after medical procedures to reduce unwanted symptoms.
What do I need to do to prepare for a hypnotism session?
Before we get together, I will need the client to fill out some paperwork about themselves detailing exactly what they are looking to accomplish from the hypnotism session.
I also require the client to refrain from in-taking any caffeine, alcohol or any non-prescription drugs 12 hours before any hypnotism session.
